The most visually intreguing part of southeast Utah. The spires are beyond amazing and the Navajo are among the friendliest people I've ever met.   With no industry other than tourism, the Navajo, committed to their land, have managed to generate income in a variety of ways that include the weaving of hand-woven Navajo rugs, the creation of unique and beautiful silver jewlery, and tourism.  The movie industry continues to find the Navajo lands ideal settings for numerous Western films, and on the photo above, Forest Gump.  The photos below are of the numerous monoliths that cover the valley floor, carved by nature's wind and water.  John Wayne's home is at Goulding's Trading Post.
