Photographically Preserving Utah's Treasures Before Time Takes Them From Us
Back Roads Utah is photographically preserving areas of interest along Utah's back roads, like Hwy. 191, 128, 491, 163, 89, 6, and like County Roads 4, 10, Hovenweep Road, and lesser side roads, some unpaved. Human presence in Utah's dates back to 7,000 BC, perhaps earlier. The Anasazi, who occupied western America circa 300 to 1320 AD evolved to become the Pueblo, Hopi, Ute, Navajo, and other Native American tribes. Utah's small communities established by early settlers, ranchers, farmers and miners need historic preservation. So many of these small communities gradually fade into history and fortunately, a few become tourist attractions - Helper, Bluff, Green River, Cisco and Thompson Springs are examples.
